I came to know Kevin as an undergraduate colleague at Eastern Illinois University. Since that time, Kevin has accomplished a great deal both in the military and as a veteran. He is a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and is an award-winning firefighter.
Kevin also regularly speaks to high school and college students about a wide variety of issues. I am highly impressed by Kevin’s ability to engage the students, help them process difficult material, present complex information in a clear and intriguing way, and provide genuine responses when asked difficult questions.
I feel confident in giving Kevin my highest endorsement. He is bright, motivated, and an exceptional teacher and speaker. His positive attitude serves as an asset to all of those around him.

I’ve had the privilege of having Kevin as a guest lecturer in a college-level course I teach focused on reducing mental health stigma. Each time Kevin gives a lecture, I am moved by the bravery and honesty in his descriptions of his own mental health story. Kevin brings advice and recommendations for ways to support one’s own mental health and how to be an ally to loved ones living with mental illness. His lectures are powerful, informative, and provide a much-needed voice for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, especially veterans living with PTSD.
